Telephoning in English

The telephone display announces a call from abroad - a spontaneous conversation in English is required. Time and again, this situation presents employees with challenges. If they don't have the necessary tools for making phone calls in English, they tend to concentrate on formulating the call as "accident-free" as possible and cannot devote themselves fully to the caller's request.

Goal setting

This seminar focusses on two aspects when training confident English-language telephone calls: Firstly, participants will learn useful standard phrases and a range of linguistic building blocks that will make telephoning easier. On the other hand, they learn a "survival strategy" that helps them to stay in control even in difficult telephone conversations. This is practised in various role plays in which the most important vocabulary is used again and again.
