Minor conflicts and disputes are part and parcel of our everyday lives. For the most part, we are usually able to diffuse things and reach agreement with our colleagues, friends and family members. Sometimes, however, seemingly insurmountable conflicts arise that can seriously affect cooperation and simply being together.
Such conflicts can easily escalate and have an extremely negative effect on morale or even mental health. In the worst case, they lead to harassment, or separation, or dismissal.
The good news is conflicts can also bring people together if they are resolved respectfully and sensitively.
